Our Studio Policies

Look dolls, we get it.  Rules are lame and usually we love to break them. But to keep our studio running as smooth as blown-out hair, we have just a few guidelines we'd like to share with you.

Our ultimate goal? To provide the very best experience to every client, every damn time. Our cancellation and adjustment policies help do just  that.

So read the nitty gritty, book that appointment, and then come in to relax with us. And  as always, we're just a text or email away if you have any questions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

To hold any appointment a card on file is required to ensure all policies are upheld.


A minimum 48-hour notice is required to cancel or change any appointment. Cancellations without proper notice prohibit other clients to be able to fill that spot and leave large unpaid gaps in our artist's schedules. Appointments cancelled/rescheduled after the 48-hour notice period will be charged 50% of total scheduled services. Reschedules or cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled appointment & no-shows will be charged 100% of total services. Card on file will be automatically charged.


We understand life happens and sometimes you need to cancel last minute due to an emergency. We do our best to give grace in these types of situations, but do track all late cancellations and no-shows in order to ensure our policies are not abused. 

LATE FEES:  ALO has a 15 minute grace period, as most artists are booked with appointments the whole day, after 15 minutes a $25 late-fee will be applied to your total. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you may be asked to re-schedule your appointment and a no-show fee will be applied.

SERVICE

ADJUSTMENTS

ALO Hair Studio will happily adjust any service as long as we are notified within one week following your appointment- on the unlikely occasion that you are unhappy with your end result. The adjustments will be provided by the same stylist, if another is requested, the full charge will apply. If you contact us beyond this one week period, adjustments will be full price. Any adjustments requested that are not within the original consultation may result into additional charges or may be considered a new service. All pre-paid deposits are non-refundable but can be applied to any future service. If you cancel/ reschedule your appointment after the 48-hour notice period you automatically forfeit your deposit and will be required to pay another deposit before you can re-book.

YOUR COLORING EXPERIENCE

Scheduling your appointment: If you are a new client to ALO and would like to schedule with us, please fill out the "New Guest Application" above. This will be the start of your consultation process. We will be in contact with you within 48 hours to schedule.
 
If booking online, when selecting your coloring experience, keep in mind we don't follow your usual "full foil/partial foil" verbiage. What that means is each and every client receives a unique service depending on their previous hair history and end goal.

We have included timing for a "finishing" service when booking your online color. Please specify in your notes at booking whether you would like a haircut (blowout included) or just a blow-dry with your service. We do not allow color services to leave wet or we can not guarantee your color. You can always choose the "dry-off" option that is free of charge and will allow us to rough dry your hair just enough so you can see your color without a full finish or style.

ENVIRONMENTAL
STEWARDSHIP FEE

As a client of ALO, you are doing your part in keeping our studio as carbon neutral as possible. A $2 Environmental Stewardship Fee will be added to each visit to ensure your beauty waste is recycled properly. We sincerely thank you for your partnership!
